Step into Christmas with Festive Fun at Zip World
With Christmas just around the corner, Zip World has unveiled its festive line-up for 2025, and it’s not one to miss!
From underground wonderlands and Santa’s Grotto, to alpine coasters and treetop adventures, families can expect magical, action-packed experiences across Zip World’s Wales and Manchester sites this festive season.
Zipmas – Zip World Llechwedd
Journey underground on Europe’s steepest cable railway into Santa’s enchanting wonderland! Explore a glowing light maze, visit Santa’s workshop to see where the magic of Christmas is made with the cheery elves, and meet the big man himself in a cosy grotto – where you’ll receive a special Welh slate bauble gift just for you.
Warm up with complimentary mince pies and mulled wine or hot chocolate, and head above ground to decorate your bauble, craft letters, and tuck into tasty festive treats.
- Dates: 21st November – 24th December
- What’s included: Hot chocolate / mulled wine, mince pie / shortbread, meeting Santa and the Elves, gift from Santa, bauble crafting experience, and post a letter to Santa.
- Prices: From £21 for adults, £24 for children (of walking ability).
- Suitable for: Children must be of walking ability to attend Zipmas, due to the nature of the underground mines. Children cannot be carried in arms, a sling/carrier or in a pram underground.

Festive Fforest – Zip World Betws-Y-Coed
A whimsical festive adventure experience under the stars of the Welsh woodland. You can ride the Polar Coaster Express – a delightful alpine coaster set under the stars and icy festive forest lights, as well as enjoying Snowtop Nets – a bouncy netted adventure suspended in the trees where you can bounce, run and slide through the woodland against the backdrop of Christmas music and festive lights.
- Dates: 29th November – 24th December
- What’s included: Three rides on the Polar Coaster Express, all evening pass on the bouncy Snowtop Nets, a burger or hot dog, mince pie, hot chocolate or mulled wine.

Grumpy Grotto – Zip World Manchester
This family-friendly Christmas quest will see you leaping, running and exploring the huge treetop bouncy nets, whilst sneaking into the Grumpy Grotto to steal back Christmas from the infamous Grump! The Grump will be patrolling his stash of gifts in the treetop grotto, and it’s your job to recover them and replace them with lumps of coal whilst he’s not looking. Embark on this exciting, hour-long festive quest and receive a gift of your own at the end of the adventure – after all, saving the holiday spirit is hard work!

- What’s included: Access to the Treetop Nets for 1 hour, a gift for children

Tower Grotto – Zip World Tower
A classic Santa’s Grotto experience in the Rhigos mountain where you begin your journey with a delicious mince pie and hot chocolate or mulled wine, before heading over to the grotto with brilliant views of the Zip World Tower adventure unfolding outside. Meet the man himself and receive a special Welsh slate bauble, which you can take to the decoration station. Try your hand at letter crafting, before taking home your very own letter from the Official Desk of Santa.
